30 Years of the OCN Blizzard: Celebrating a Championship Legacy

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the OCN Blizzard. Joining the celebration are Gardiner MacDougall, Blizzard head coach from 1996 to 1999 who went on to a championship career at UNB and now coaches the Moncton Wildcats, along with Boh Kubrakovich-Kiniw, the last remaining founder connected to the original OCN Blizzard organization, and original General Manager Leonard Strasberg, recognizing the people who helped build the team’s lasting legacy.

It was a phone from Boh to Gardiner in 1996 that persuaded him and his family to move from the SJHL to join the new franchise of the MJHL “Well maybe a few persistent phone calls”.

Boh is the last founding member of the orginal group that started the team and set it in motion for greatness.
